1. How did you find out about IBS Americas?
I discovered IBS Americas through my university. I saw a post on social media promoting scholarships to study in the United States and Europe, which sparked my interest in learning more about the opportunity.
2. What motivated you to take a course abroad?
I’ve always wanted to broaden my knowledge and have an international experience that would allow me to develop both academic and personal skills. In addition, studying in a multicultural environment is a unique opportunity to expand my global perspective and strengthen my professional profile.
3. What is your academic background, and what were your expectations regarding the international program?
I am an Industrial Engineering student. My expectations for the program were to gain specialized knowledge, interact with professionals from different parts of the world, and apply what I learned to my professional development.
4. How did you choose the course and the university? What were the key factors in your decision?
I chose the course based on its relevance to my field of study and the academic quality of the university. Factors such as the course content, the professors’ experience, and the networking opportunities were essential in my decision-making process.
5. What were the main challenges you faced while being in another country, with a different language and classmates of various nationalities?
One of the biggest challenges was adapting to the language and a new cultural environment. However, thanks to the interaction with my classmates and the support from the university, I was able to overcome these difficulties and grow from a diversity of perspectives.
6. How would you evaluate the quality of teaching, infrastructure, and resources offered by the university?
The quality of teaching was excellent. The professors were highly qualified, and the course content was extremely relevant. In addition, the university’s infrastructure and resources provided a comfortable and productive learning environment.
7. What were the main takeaways and skills you developed throughout the course?
I gained specialized technical knowledge, improved my communication skills in an international setting, and developed a more global mindset. I also learned how to work effectively in teams with people from different cultural backgrounds.
8. What places did you visit during your free time?
I took advantage of my free time to visit places like Santa Monica, Hollywood, and other beaches, which allowed me to make the most of the experience.
9. How was your experience attending conferences and company visits?
The conferences and company visits were incredibly enriching. They allowed me to understand how businesses operate in an international context, learn from industry experts, and build valuable contacts for my career.
10. Were you able to expand your network during the course? Could you share a bit about that experience?
Yes, I had the opportunity to meet students and professionals from all over the world. Sharing experiences and knowledge with them was one of the best parts of the program, as it broadened my perspectives and opened doors for future collaborations.
11. How will this international experience impact your career?
This experience has given me a competitive edge in the job market. Studying abroad shows adaptability, initiative, and a global mindset, qualities that are highly valued by employers.
12. What advice would you give to students and professionals who want to study abroad with IBS Americas?
I would recommend making the most of the opportunity: take part in all academic and cultural activities, and build a strong network. It’s a transformative experience, both professionally and personally.
